The Last Days of Judas Iscariot
Apr 24, 20198:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Description
How much do most people actually know about the disciple Judas Iscariot beyond his betrayal of Jesus and his having hanged himself? Playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis places this infamous man on trial in purgatory allowing historical figures like Pontius Pilate, Mother Teresa, and Sigmund Freud to take the witness stand in this hilarious, often irreverent, and certainly penetrating look at this man. A host of other characters including Jesus, Satan, Saint Monica, and Henrietta Iscariot (Judas’ mother) help to challenge our perceptions of judgment and forgiveness during this fascinating journey through the uproarious and thought-provoking trial of Judas Iscariot.
