This course for women is an introduction to basic self defense skills, avoidance and escape strategies, defensive techniques and simulated attacks. This course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and avoidance, and progresses to hands-on defensive training. Participants will have the opportunity to use the techniques in dynamic impact training and have the option to participate in “simulated assault” scenarios with the instructors. The course will address basic fitness principles including strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness.
