"A Conversation with Judy Woodruff"

Perhaps one of the most recognizable faces of broadcast journalism, Judy Woodruff has spent five decades covering politics and news. She’s been a White House correspondent and a chief Washington correspondent, and she’s anchored numerous programs across various networks, including the award-winning documentary series Frontline with Judy Woodruff. In 2013, she, along with the late Gwen Ifill, broke boundaries when they were named the first two women to coanchor a national news broadcast, PBS NewsHour.

Woodruff is a founding cochair of the International Women’s Media Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging women in journalism and communication industries worldwide. She serves on the boards of trustees of the Freedom Forum, the Duke Endowment, and the Carnegie Corporation of New York, and is a director of Public Radio International and the National Association to End Homelessness.

Woodruff is a graduate of Duke University, where she is a trustee emerita. She is the recipient of numerous awards for excellence in journalism and possesses more than 25 honorary degrees.

Tickets will be available two weeks before the lecture.

Judy Woodruff’s appearance is made possible through the university’s partnership with PBS Fort Wayne.
