Lunch and Learn: Compassion Fatigue

Apr 11, 2019
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Description

Join Ted Westerhof, our EAP representative from the Bowen Center, for a Lunch and Learn presentation about Compassion Fatigue. Compassion fatigue is often misunderstood amongst high-risk groups. Understanding its symptoms and behaviors allow us to understand how we respond.

In this workshop, you will learn to recognize the common signs of compassion fatigue and burnout, and why it is important to understand the difference between the two. You will also understand the importance of self-acceptance and self-care in people serving roles and functions. Learning to define and contrast compassion fatigue versus burnout will help you respond effectively with skillful choices and recognize warning signs before you are overwhelmed

A light, healthy lunch will be provided. Please call to register.
