Description

Please join us for the first or our four-part series Beyond Charlottesville.

The violence in Charlottesville in August 2017 was the latest incident in more than 400 years of racial violence directed at people of color. Dr. Timothy Lake, associate professor at Wabash College, will provide lecture and post discussion that traces the historical roots of white supremacy and racism from the beginnings of the slave trade era, and its evolution to become an enduring central pillar of American political, social, and cultural institutions.
